Areas of Special Expertise:

My current interests include holistic healing, trauma, spirituality, women's health, childbirth and motherhood. I focus on the interconnectedness of mind, body and spirit, using meditation techniques and breathwork adapted from Zen to provide a safe environment for my clients to heal themselves.
I have been a private practitioner for about 8 years (4 yrs. In U.S., 4 yrs. In Japan). I have worked as a psychiatric social worker, in inpatient and day treatment settings, with both adults and children. In the hospital, I functioned as Clinical Supervisor to BSW and MSW students. As a TRAUMA TASK FORCE member, I developed assessment tools, a group model and presented to hospital staff on trauma. After 9/11, I was employed with Safe Horizon/Project Liberty Fund as a trauma clinician, presenter and outreach worker. I have done EAP on-site work, including CISD.
