My clinical experience includes 2 years providing therapy to adults at Sharp Mesa Vista Psychiatric Hospital (the largest private psychiatric hospital in Southern California) and 5 years providing individual, group and family therapy to children and adolescents at Children's Hospital Outpatient Psychiatry and throughout the San Diego public school district. I have served as an onsite psychotherapist at a community day school, as a MultiSystemic Therapist working with adolescents and families in their homes, and as a staff therapist at a school for emotionally disturbed children and adolescents.

Before becoming a licensed clinician, I worked as the intake counselor at TELL Community Counseling Service. I also served TELL for a number of years as a supervisor and trainer.

Areas of Special Expertise:

I am very familiar with most childhood and adolescent problems (ADHD, depression, anxiety, oppositional and defiant behavior) as well as more chronic and severe illnesses such as schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder. I have considerable experience working with families and school staff to help children reach their true potential.
