IMHPJ 28th Annual Conference – 2024

Strengthening Mental Health Connections

March 2-3, 2024 • Kobe Gakuin University, Kobe, Japan

As the world reemerges after the pandemic, the mental health profession is continuing to carry the burden of our collective grief and exhaustion.  In addition to the deep and important role mental health workers are playing, we continue to face new and age-old hurdles of challenging clients, adjusting to telehealth practices, and managing our own compassion fatigue.  Join us, as we collectively come together to recharge our batteries through connection, learning, growth, and camaraderie with other mental health professionals working in Japan.  The IMHPJ Board of Directors has gathered both members and non-members from our international community of professionals living in Japan to present a variety of topics including conversations around post-pandemic care and challenges, overcoming hurdles in working with couples, understanding better the neurodivergent client, and widening perspectives on the multicultural dynamics of counseling.
