His best-selling books have been translated into French, Spanish, and Japanese and include Promises Lovers Make When It Gets Late (1997), The New Black: Mourning, Melancholia and Depression (2008), Strictly Bipolar (2013), Why Can’t We Sleep? (2019), and Jouissance: Sexuality, Suffering and Satisfaction (2021)

Together we’ll reflect on how the history of analytic interpretations inflect those of other traditions. The lecture is aimed at clinicians from cognitive as well as non-Lacanian backgrounds and will provide examples of how different analysts might interpret a particular clinical sequence.

Darian Leader lives in London and is a founding member of the Centre for Freudian Analysis and Research.

We hope you’ll join us for this lively presentation.
