I am a licensed psychologist in California and a certified clinical psychologist in Japan.
I am a CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) therapist, specializing in ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). ACT approach encourages mindfulness and value-based actions to assist clients find meaning in life and lead a proactive, fulfilling life.
I have extensive experiences working at hospitals, university counseling centers, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) in the US and Japan. Aside from my group practice with Tokyo International Psychotherapy, I work at Rikkyo University as a counselor. I am a generalist and work with a range of issues including mood issues (e.g., depression, bi-polar disorders, anxiety, panic disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders, social anxiety, etc), eating issues, trauma and PTSD, relationships, gender/sexual identity, career/work, family issues, and cross-cultural issues.
