Bio

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and my specialties include young people and adults experiencing:

shame around eating and body image
challenges living with an eating disorder
anxiety
depression
climate anxiety/eco-anxiety
climate grief
internalized self-stigma, shame and/or mental health symptoms as a result of oppression
parenting or caregiving challenges (especially parenting young people with mental health needs)

A broad range of perspectives and therapeutic tools influence my clinical practice, including systems theory, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, cognitive and dialectical behavior therapies (including CBT-E), maudsley model of anorexia nervosa treatment for adults (MANTRA), mindfulness-based practice, motivational interviewing, and health at every size (HAES).

I offer services via a secure telehealth platform and limited number of in-person sessions in Kyoto, Japan. I welcome people of all identities and work through an anti-oppression framework.
