As a California licensed clinical psychologist, I work face-to-face as well as via teletherapy with people who are experiencing depression, anxiety, adjustment, and trauma related issues. I also work with couples as well as children using sandplay and art therapy. In practice, I integrate a depth psychological approach (Jungian, psychoanalytic) with cognitive behavioral interventions as needed. I am also trained in EMDR therapy, and utilize this treatment across a range of issues to quickly process triggering memories and experiences.
Services I Offer
Individual Psychotherapy, Individual Counseling, Family Therapy, Couple Therapy, Parenting Education/Counseling

My practice, in downtown Kyoto, integrates Jungian psychology with cognitive and behavioral psychology with a goal of reducing symptoms as quickly as possible while attending to the underlying causes to create a foundation for a healthy and joyful life. Since finding a therapist who is a good fit with you is an important factor in the therapeutic process, but can be a costly process, I offer an initial 20-minute trial meeting for a reduced fee. Please see my website (zimbleman.com) for additional information.
Address: To be provided after initial contact. The office is near subways in downtown Kyoto.
