Mental health support for visitors to Japan during the Olympic and Paralympic Games

Are you visiting Japan during the Olympic or Paralympic Games and experiencing a mental health problem? You may not need psychotherapy, but a brief consultation, emergency intervention, or phone counseling. If so, contact the IMHPJ members who are available during this period (list below). Please do not hesitate to contact your embassy when needed.

Disclaimer

Mental health counseling may have different regulatory standards in Japan than other countries. IMHPJ is a voluntary organization where we hold ourselves to a high ethical standard for membership in order to provide a quality service with experienced providers. For those seeking help outside of IMHPJ’s available providers, we advise people to look for external reviews from the local community to ensure that they can expect high quality ethical practice.
