NOTES:

I have extensive experiences working at hospitals, university counseling centers, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) in the US and Japan. Aside from my private practice, I also work at Rikkyo (St. Paul) University as a counselor. I am a generalist and work with a range of issues including mood issues (e.g., depression, bi-polar disorders, anxiety, panic disorders, obsessive compulsive disorders, social anxiety, etc), eating issues, trauma and PTSD, relationship issues, career/work issues, family issues, cross-cultural issues.

My approach incorporates mindfulness based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Behavioral Activation Therapy (BA). I was trained in psychodynamic as well as traditional CBT and my current approach centers around Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which encourages mindfulness and value-based action to assist clients find meaning in life and lead a fulfilling life.
