WATERS, Brad
Hello! I am a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s challenges and create meaningful change. I focus on supporting clients working through trauma, relationship concerns, acculturation, and chronic mental health issues, offering a safe and nonjudgmental space to explore difficult emotions and develop healthier patterns. Drawing on a systemic perspective, I will help you understand how relationships and life experiences shape your well-being, while equipping you with resources for growth, resilience, and deeper connection. I offer in-person sessions in Matsumoto City, Nagano, as well as secure online therapy for clients across Japan.
APPROACH
I take a holistic, trauma-informed approach to therapy, recognizing the deep connections between body, mind, emotions, relationships, and spirituality. My work draws on a variety of modalities including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). By integrating these evidence-based approaches, I tailor each session to your unique needs, helping you process and heal from past experiences while building practical tools for a more balanced and fulfilling life.
