TRAN, Sophia
I am an Australian-registered Clinical Psychologist based in Tokyo. I have a Master of Psychology (Clinical) degree from the University of New South Wales and over 10 years of clinical experience across private practice, university-based clinics, and not-for-profit organizations.
I work with individuals experiencing attachment and relationship difficulties, anxiety, trauma, emotion dysregulation, family of origin issues, low self-esteem, and stress/burnout. I have a special interest in supporting individuals navigating cultural adjustment, including questions of identity, belonging and meaning.
My approach to therapy is collaborative and individualized to each person's needs and goals. I practice in evidence-based psychological approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, attachment-based approaches, and culturally responsive practice.
I am passionate about supporting clients to deepen their understanding of themselves and overcome self-limiting beliefs and longstanding patterns that no longer serve them, so that they can feel more connected and authentic in their lives.
