Bio

I am a qualified mental health nurse and psychological counsellor with a passion for supporting individuals as they navigate life's challenges. I hold an Honours degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Mental Health Nursing, providing me with a strong foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of mental health. As a former nurse working in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, I have both the knowledge and a passion for supporting adolescent self-identity and mental health crises.

My approach is holistic and person-centered; utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques such as CBT, active listening, PCT, MBSR, supportive counselling, and DBT to tailor treatment to each individual's needs. I have extensive experience working with individuals facing adolescent mental health concerns, low mood/depression, anxiety, loneliness, isolation, anger, trauma, workplace issues, school issues, social issues, relationship challenges, and sexual abuse. I am also skilled in graded exposure and building self-esteem. I have experience supporting LGBTQ+ individuals in exploring their self-identity and navigating the unique challenges they may face.

As a non-native person living in Japan, as well as through my prior counselling experience, I can both empathise with and help address the difficulties of navigating social and emotional needs as a foreign individual.

I am committed to providing a safe and supportive environment where individuals can explore their experiences, develop coping strategies, and work towards their goals.
