SAWA, Chie
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts, a Certified Clinical Psychologist, and a Certified Public Psychologist in Japan.
I work with adults on stress, anxiety, self-esteem, life transitions, cultural adjustment, relationships, and personal growth. I help people become unstuck from their struggles, gain clarity, embrace curiosity, and connect with their authentic selves.
My practice is tailored to introverts and ambiverts who want to value their inner world and creativity and create a better balance in life.
Having spent 11 years in the U.S. and serving international communities in Japan since 2011, I understand the unique challenges and joys of living abroad. I help people explore ways to attend to their needs and values, enhance communication, establish healthy boundaries, and foster a sense of belonging.
My values—freedom, curiosity, thriving through learning, hope, calm, flexibility, and peace—guide my approach. My therapeutic approach is integrative yet mainly influenced by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness.
If you value introspection and have tried different strategies yet want a third person to help you move forward to a life that aligns with what matters most to you, please get in touch with me.
