Bio

Hello, my name is Kiki (she/her). I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Board-Certified Dance/Movement Therapist (BC-DMT), and Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP) specializing in the integration of body and mind in the therapeutic process. My training in Somatic Experiencing®, a body-oriented approach to healing trauma and stress-related symptoms, complements my work as a Graduate Laban Certified Movement Analyst (GL-CMA), providing a nuanced framework for understanding movement, embodiment, nervous system regulation, and nonverbal communication. Together, these approaches help clients access insight, resilience, and healing beyond words.

My clinical experience includes working with children, adolescents, and adults across inpatient, outpatient, private practice, and academic settings. I provide individual, group, and family therapy, tailoring interventions to meet each client's developmental, emotional, and relational needs. For children and adolescents, creative and nonverbal approaches can be especially effective in addressing trauma, anxiety, grief, and life transitions. For adults, somatic and movement-based therapies offer meaningful pathways for healing developmental, relational, and attachment-based trauma.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in humanistic and person-centered principles, emphasizing authenticity, compassion, collaboration, and unconditional positive regard. I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore their experiences with curiosity and self-compassion.

As a bicultural clinician, I am deeply interested in how culture, identity, and acculturation shape our sense of self and our relationships with others. I have extensive experience supporting international students, returnees, International Baccalaureate (IB) students, multicultural and biracial individuals, and those navigating cross-cultural transitions. My goal is to help clients reconnect with themselves—their bodies, emotions, strengths, and stories—in ways that foster resilience, integration, and growth.

Areas of focus include trauma, anxiety, grief and loss, cross-cultural adjustment, identity development, attachment concerns, and life transitions.

I accept clients with GeoBlue insurance, making my services accessible to those with international coverage.
